The Metal Zone

Lethal Aggression

Over the past 25 years the nj shore has spawned some of the most influential bands of the national and underground hardcore scene. While the poseur rock bands were busy cluttering up the airwaves , a new era of metal, thrash, punk, and hardcore was forming and the nj underground was booming. In 1984 one of the most radically controversial bands had begun. Lethal aggression emerged as a forerunner to a scene they would later reshape much of the interpretation of hardcore and thrash metal music for the era.
After a lineup change at the end of 84 they began the tumultious rise to mayhem , commonly called a drugcore metal band which they dubbed themselves as. They lived everyday like the last, no apologies, no bullshit, the truth whether you like it of not, know for there outspoken lyrics and aggressive opinions of the world as most people see it with blinders on.People say the thing in life we fear the most is when we realize the truth , lethal aggression is like being smashed in the head with a prybar repeatedly.

The music has changed and shaped generations of the metal underground .Touring and opening for some of the best hardcore bands in the world such as Exodus, Nuclear Assault, Anthrax, Carnivore, Testament as well as Hardcore acts like Agnostic Front, COC, DRI, AOD, GBH, & the Accused .
But what made them a instant icon was the live shows , the raw uncensored power , in your face till your bloody , lyrics that scream out about injustice, oppression and moral stupidity, the mosh pits not like the ones of today but all out rip your balls off pit moshing. I guess if it wasn't bloody with a few broken bones and friends it wasn't a good pit.

The current line-up has been consistent since 2004. One thing that's true about Lethal Aggression is it has always been as much a lifestyle and attitude as it has been a band. In the early years we had a blast making some groundbreaking music but after a few years the lifestyle became more important. As much as we speak out about injustice and corruption, as much as we speak about personal growth an social and personal struggles, we still at times could get trapped into our own hypocrisy. The rampant drug abuse and lack of communication is what shut the band down from 1991-2001.

For the first time I seem to have found a bunch of guys who really put the music first and allow me to express my lyrics without any unneeded drama or distractions. Today the world is so far from the human experience that it gets me sick. There aren't enough people opening there eyes and not enough leaders speaking out. Lethal is ready to start the revolution, one basement at a time! Hoping eventually people start to find inspiration through aggressive music. Anger is a tool and a great motivator

Where do you see the band 10 years from now -

I dont look past tomorrow to be quite honest. That doesnt mean I dont make plans or at least use foresight. Yes I pay my bills and yes I use condoms! Life has taught me how to look forward to possible consequences. I anticipate the next few years should keep us busy, if it keeps staying fun and challenging! As long as the world and the people in it remain as blind and stupid as they have proven to be we will probably be here. If by some cosmic goof everything becomes honest and peaceful in the world then and only then could i see myself shutting the fuck up

What do you want to say to the new generation of metalheads -

Dont be a bunch of mindless pushovers. Stand for something! It really doesnt matter what the fuck you believe in but first you need to find out who the fuck you are. When you figure that out, figure out where to point your gun and who to aim the bullet at!!

So what was the big deal about the album cover , its a likeness hasn't anyone seen southpark or listened to bill mayer. -

I dont know, any public official is available for satirical purposes. I think the fact that we released the album on Innaguration day and we have the chairman of the Federal reserves head on a spike plus the current state of the economy mixed with a general unease in the people...freaked somebody the fuck out.

Whats the bands next plan of attack after the release of the new album -

We have started writing new material already. We play the Auditory Assault fest in NYC in may and then the thursday after we play the pre-fest party for the Maryland Deathfest. If the album starts creating a bigger buzz we want to head over to europe this fall.

any last words
Life is short....Abuse it wisely!!
